Martial Arts (K-4)

Karate classes offered by FSK at HMS are established from the Japanese martial art, Kyokushin Karate. Kyokushin translates to English as "Ultimate Truth", and the art form stresses finding that ideal in each and every individual. During Karate classes students will walk this path of the martial way as they learn the foundation of Karate through the 3 pillars of training: Kihon (Basics), Kata (Forms), and Kumite (Sparring or Sparring drills). Classes will infuse game-oriented themes, training and cardio-conditioning to highlight martial concepts.
