The High Meadow Before School Get Together!
Thursday, August 31st
4:30pm: Join us at school for a welcome meeting with the High Meadow administrative team, a visit to your child’s classroom, and to sign up for your annual volunteer hours. Meet new classmates and say hello to old friends!
6pm: Join us for High Meadow’s Sunset Flix Community Night at Hasbrouck House!
Campus Community Clean Up with Ann Ganter and Courtney Wilder
Saturday and Sunday, September 2nd and 3rd, 9am-3pm
Come one, come all to our annual end-of-summer campus beautifying weekend! Please feel free to come anytime, either or both days, between 9am and 3pm, for all of the weeding, pruning, planting, primping, sweeping, raking, and even chainsawing that you could want to get into. We know it's Labor Day weekend and a lot of you are away, but if you happen to be around it's a really great way to rack up your required (yes!) service hours before the year even begins and it's always a very chill and fun time. Feel free to bring your tools (although we have some on site as well). It's always nice to have an extra weed-whacker or extra set of pruners. Kids are welcome! Just know that there's no childcare. Listening Conference Day
Tuesday, September 5th (sign-up information to come)
Teachers will host “listening conferences” with the parents/guardians of each child in their class. Families will share their perspective as primary caregivers and first teachers. Some teachers may offer alternative times to families in addition to this day.
First Day of School
Wednesday, September 6th
Full day for 1st–8th Grade; half day for Nursery 3s–Kindergarten.
High Meadow Curriculum Night
Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 (details to come)
Families will join their children’s teachers for a deep dive into the curriculum, student experience, and educational approach at High Meadow. Details to come!
